A LOT....full manifold and exhaust 2.5 inch twin pipes whole way all made from scratch, the did not modif the original one as i suggested originally, they said its better.easier to make one from scratch from their experience with cars like Ian's

they have done an amazing job however and its wortht he money

this on the road yet ?

A few Q's.....

Could you use the standard 325i transmission mounts ? would that just give you a 10deg twist in the box ?

Did you use the m5 flywheel, oil pan etc ?

You had to shorten the propshaft by how much? Will the box be ok with the standard diff ratio ?

it runs but not on road, needs headlights bumpers etc and clutch pipe

im using 325 mounts on my own custon crossmember

using stock m5 fly and sump

box is perfect with e30 diff ratios, but an e30 m3 diff would be too long

front section of prop was shortened a fair bit as engine is far back and the engine box ae very long!

Did you use the 300mm.de engine mounts?? how did the 300mm.de engine mounts go ?

did you have to modify them for the s38 (i think is says that on the site but it was badly translated)

yeh they are the .de ones but remade in 10mm thickness and they are not modified for clearance to the manifold as i had the manifold custom built around them

the diff is an e30 3.64 ratio lsd

how about rigid hoses / pipes with a short flexi rubber bit at the end??

buy a load of stainless steel tube, borrow a tig welder, a pipe bender and get playing! an excuse to learn to tig weld?

do you have any pics of the offending areas? might be worth bouncing a few ideas around?

Dont samco and the like make them to drawings? Knock some up in AutoCAD. You could even make simple patterns using flexi-tubing of the inner diameter you need for the hoses.

They make the pipes by forming the silicone over braid on a simple mold. Normally the mold is a piece of pipe the correct shape and slightly too long (for trimming). It's layed-up and baked to cure if I recall correctly..

Worth a phone call or two to find out?
