Dont mind buying a key really, afterall the donor was a steal and flogged a few parts plus weighed the shell so £20 on a valet key isnt the end of the world!

Basic key was £36 last time I bought one Rob, the one with the remote is over £100 now

Check with your parts guys what docs they want to see before you go Tony, im pretty sure the address on logbook and your drivers licence need to match. There are ways around it if they dont winkeye

Few more bit done today.
Collected an E30 prop bearing so got the E36 prop fitted, gear linkage all done and clutch slave plumbed in.
Steering pipes refitted and refilled.
Finally my manifolds are all but finished, just needed the welds polishing back earlier when I went and saw them so hopefully ill have them by tomorrow.
So plans for in the morning are get the E36 Compact fan stripped from its huge plastic frame and mount that ready to be wired up.
Radiator can then go in and coolant then added.
Steering linkage on its way from Danthe.
Then its more or less just the wiring and a tidy up :D

Radiator fitted and filled
Matrix pipes connected
Throttle cable connected
Rear valance cut out to fit twin exit backbox
Brackets made for M52 fuel rail

Nearly done now.
Engine loom finished, just got the EWS to finish off so I can crank it over.
Exhaust is going to need some work to make fit properly which will be attended to on Saturday.
Other than that its just really doing all the fluids etc to be able to fire it up.

Cheers :D

Had my mate over today to get the exhaust fitted.
Bit of a mix `n`match stainless system comprising of Unknown make backbox and M3 Scorpion centre.
He has had to make up sections to go inbetween the Scorpion and downpipes around 900mm long.
Looks awsome im just afraid its going to be mega loud as it on.y has a huge rear silencer and tiny resonator type box in the Scorpion.
Think it will need another silencer fitting towards the front but ill see how it is first.
Hopefully ill have a go at firing it up tomorrow :D

Not tried it yet mate as ive still got to fit the EWS under the dash but cant open the doors wide enough without banging them on the wall so will roll it back down the drive a bit too do that.
Ive put the battery in though and done a ignition key test and all dash lights ok.Does actually try to crank over but the starter is just whizzing round so ill have to see whats going on with that.

Exhaust is done and fitted now.
Rear valance needs opening upa bit more but I purposly cut it undersize untill final fit and still needs a gearbox mount fitting.
Waiting on output shafts for the diff which will hopefully be Monday.
