Hi all, just selling the last bits of my ill fated 750i and have had a very good offer for the diff. He needs a courier and was wondering if any of you guys know the basic weight of a large case LSD?

Thats what i was thinking between 25-35kg :D

Could be a nice little earner for me as could drop it off for him as ive got an interior to delivery around the corner from him winkeye A courier will be a rip off im guessing.

Get on some bathroom scales and record your weight, get on the scales again with the diff in your arms and the difference in weight is how heavy the diff is (ish) :wink:

Edit, id say its 35-40kg

You're looking at 35-40kg for a 188mm medium (e30 large) case diff. a 750i will have a 210mm large case diff, bigger than anything fitted to a E30. It's got to be 50kg at least.

They look like they're off a truck! 8O

i'm almost sure a medium case diff is around 40kg, so i'd guess a large case is closer to 50kg.

Have you ever seen the size of one of these, you will be lucky to see the dial.

cheerrs guys, ive told him 50kg as im hoping to cash in dropping it off anyway as im running on LPG through the winter winkeye

All in the ETK! Assuming it's an ex E32 diff, then it's 46.64 kg.
