once the primer was applied did you wet & dry it before painting satin black

nope i didnt but i thought the primer acts as a key for the basecoat so i wouldnt need to wet and dry it. ive done about 3 coats on it so far and its looking pretty good. will apply maybe 2 more coats then call it a day. to get that extra shine what can i add to it ?

wet & drying the primer will just give it a smoother finish,
it will probably only need another 2 coats, just give it time between coats,

let it dry off for a few days. stick it in the airing cupboard to speed it up ;) then sand down with 3000 grit wet and dry and a couple of light coats with gloss should do the trick.

Stealth cars are the way forwardDresden wrote:wait wait...so you went for satin because you wanted shine?
Maybe it's only in the states, but we like satin because it's not shiny, more of an aggressive appearance. I think it relates to the stealth bomber look.

Really need to spray the grill of my BMW satin as it looks crap being patchy grey plastic!
