very nice mate, how much boost?
rossle wrote:very nice mate, how much boost?
only 1.7bar.. but then the cluch started to fail so at 4500rpm i had 713nm @ wheels and at 6000 the cluch loost grip and just spun out to the rev limit..
the dyno dident get any good reading from the spinning cluch so the hp figures are a little blurry but
there should be around 800-850nm and 700-720hp. right now.. (in the engine)
so now a new cluch is orderd and i will book a new time for the dyno
WOW!
That's huge power, nice.
I'm only running .9bar now and it's plenty quick enough for me, looking forward to 1.3bar very much!
What's the spec on your turbo?
Mines a H1C, 55/82 & 67/63 on a 18cm3 housing, I get boost from 2700rpms and full chat @ 3700rpms.
I'd also like to know what timing you are running as I'm starting to tune my sparks, fueling is safe but rich, running around 11-1 at full boost all the way to the red line. I'm running around 10' on boost and only hear a chirp of det around 4k when on boost, no issues after that.
My clutch is also starting to die, it's only spun the once, today, 3rd gear full boost, but have a 6 puk plate to fit.
I'll try to remember the video camera next time I go out for a spirited drive!
Thanks, Fozz.

hey Fozz
the turbo im using is called kkk29.
i dont have the exakt spec on it here.. but i could check it out..
but it should be around 61mm in and 75mm out
i have 1.5 @ 3500rpm and 713nm (on wheels) @ 4500
do you mean the dwell time? then im using 5.0 on cranking and 3.0 on running
11.1 in afr is good.. 10 is to rich.. but as i always say better rich then broke
what ecu are u running?

This car is MAD! Love it
KKK supplied the turbos for the 2002 turbo too if I'm not mistaken

Hey dude!rossle wrote:hey mark, i have a pretty good map for 1 bar that mattias sent me a while ago if you want it?
Hows you?
I have a timing map from Mattias he sent me a long time ago but I found it was very harsh and didn't go well when loaded up.
I had to take quite a few degress out on boost to stop pinking, however I've not tried it since the other bits ( IC, chargepipes ) have been added.
These bits seem to be the key to running lots of boost and safely.
Currently I'm running a flat 10' across the board but the engines seems a little flat, I feel there's much more power to find with some tweaking.
Send it over tho please, I'll see if it's the same as what I have already and it's always good to compare anyway!
Fozz.
My dwells are 6 for cranking and 3 for running, I tried less but had spark blow out on boost.Karel wrote:hey Fozzfozzymonster wrote:WOW!

I'm running a MS v3 with wasted sparks and provision for boost control and water injection.
My AFRS stay around 11-1 but do drop into the high 10's when over 5000rpms! I'll lean it off on the dyno, like you say, better rich than broke! And I've already broken it a fair few times
Here's my setup:
