The car feels completely different now, so much more responsive low down in the revs now, pick up below 3.5k is almost now as good as when its over 4k now. Engine braking is also a lot more pronounced now as well. I have found myself changing gear a little bit more than i used to but i think that'll iron out once i am used to it as i don't think you really lose that much more speed when going up hill which is one of the things most people said would be a downside to this.
I don't think there would be any issue with fitting this to a car that's used regularly in town, it is slightly easier to stall and the clutch has got a stronger bite, but that could be down to the fact it a bigger clutch or because it's a brand new clutch, or even because i haven't driven the car for 4 months and have got used to nasty modern cars with spongy clutches.
I would say that accelaration has improved quite a bit, but it's hard to say since i'm using a different engine with quite a bit higher mileage at the moment. On several occasions i have found myself thinking i am in a lower gear than i actually am due to the way the revs pick up.
All in all i'm very very happy with it
