um
stat is stuck open (or, tho hopfully not, is removed)
Interior lights dont come on when you open the door, tho they do work on their switches
Heater blower is noisy/only really works on full (biggest pain to sort i reckon)
other than that i think its pretty much ok
The m30 e32 I had has electric controls for ventilation- not a fecking scoob how they work. In contrast the e34 ones are usually lever operated....Jhonno wrote:issues..

i have quite a few of the wee motors for the electric heater matrix if you need any.Jhonno wrote:glad im not the only one slightly mistified by the e32 heater controls.. think i've roughly worked them out now tho
gonna check the stat out over the weekend, biggest issue that needs sorting due to the impact on the already not great fuel consumption

Whilst checking the stat (or lack there of) make sure the coolant level sensor wire hasnt been bypassed- often goes faulty, but also an easy way tohide issues re headgasket/overheating/thermostat.

It really is a pleasant way to travel. I reckon you could drive it for 36hrs without sleep- assuming you could afford to fill the tankJhonno wrote:Im loving the 7 'experience' its like driving an automotive sofa, bumps, what bumps?! Kickdown is amusing, shifts pretty well![]()
Now to sort that stat..
Anyone have any ideas why the interior lights dont come on with the door being opened?
