Some bastard just did this to my car, no more than 30 mins ago. It was parked for no more than 15 mins and has been reversed into. .

No note, nothing . . . .

I hope the bonnet is fixable, would hate to replace it, the foam on the back is new and thats $130 AUD alone!

I'd say it was a 4wd. There was a Rav 4 Toyota infront of my about a car lenght up when I stopped, it might have been the spare wheel on the back? not sure. The bumper, lights, indicator havent been touched.

The only good thing to come out of this is that I already had my car booked in to the panel shop in 2 weeks to have my newly acquired M Tech I kit sprayed/fitted. Wasnt planning on a bonnet repair/respray though!!

I hope its fixable.

Hi Michael,

Really sorry for you mate

Not a nice thing to happen. Not nice at all...

Hopefully you can get it fixed. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but you may be able to get most of it pushed out by one of these paintless dent guys. I had someone walk over my car several years ago, and they put a big dent in the bonnet. I had this pushed out, and there was not a mark left.

Cheers,

Ian.

I'm really sorry to read this. It is a shame when people have accidents and don't leave a note. The problem is with the car insurance. People are too afraid to have to make a claim, in fear of their premiums and excesses going sky high, but that is no excuse for what they have done to your car.

I had an experience a couple of months after I had bought my car, I had left my car in a public car park to find that my car was in two parking spaces and was not even in the place that I had parked. Someone had rear ended my car and not left a note or anything. Add insult to injury, I even had a parking fine cos' my car was improperly parked. I had just got the car out of the bodyshop as someone had rear-ended me as I was stopped at traffic lights - at least I got the insurance work done on it. This was only a month before I got this done.

A years ago I had parked my car in a public car park only to realise when I got out of my car from the journey home that someone had keyed the entire car. The doors, the boot, the bonnet, the door handles, back of wing mirrors, everywhere and had scratched a nasty National Front logo in it too. I felt not only sick for my car, but also for having this logo scratched into my bonnet. The paintwork on the car was already immaculate. I had to get the whole car resprayed. I didn't think that my insurance company would do it - luckily they did. Just not completely resprayed around the windscreen.

If people are scared of the premiums going sky high, they should offer to have it repaired privatley! Bloody stingey gits! Probably cost less than declaring it on their insurance too!

Looks like that should 'pop' back out from a dent guy - they are VERY good at the type of thing...

Sorry to see that though.

LOL, wish I had a similar vision of the car that hit me. . .

IM picking up a Tech I kit on Tuesday and the car was infact already booked in to have this fitted and sprayed.

Im glad you guys think it can be mended. The paint has been lightly scratched but hasnt been chipped so it wont rust between now and then. I've got a 2000 km round trip ahead of me on Monday!

Im hoping the kit and everthing else will be fitted within 2 weeks.
