i have a J reg e34 525 sport auto im ripping a m50 out of....apart from engine plug to ecu inc injector/starter motor/alternator loom, what will i need to save? any body looms, senders etc
will be going in a 318/320 for sleeperstyle driftage
also, how do i identify if its the single vanos model?

J reg will probably be non vanos. The vanos unit consists externally of a hydraulic cylinder right beside the area of the inlet cam sprocket, with a steel pipe going to the oil filter block, and a lump in the chain cover right in front of the sprocket.
Get the entire engine loom complete with ECU and three relays. No wires need to be cut.
