rolling the arches will only ruin the car if the arches are riddled with rust.id get a second opinion from a bodyshop that knows what they are doing then go for the borbets

he had them flared not the same as rolling
rolling only bends the return lip in so not to catch the tyres

Flaring is when you take the flat part of the arch, the last inch or so before it ends. and flare it out so it follows the line of the rest of the arch.

(and yes I know those aren't e30's)

Out of curiosity dips.. how much to flare the arcges on an e30?

I know its not quite as simple to do as I made out, needs some cutting and letting in of new metal...

depends on what size wheels you are putting on as rolling them can give the extra room
on the 2 tone tourer all we done was roll and pumped out the arch which i charge about £100 no painting needed
welding and cutting around £600 give or take

16x9 all round spaced out 30mm at the rear and 5mm at the front, on a hefty drop...

Rolling wont cut it on the back, it will on the front but if the rears are done the fronts should be really, just for looks.

pumped out the arch?! :?

Hi there guys, I'm new to all this, as I have an e24 635 but have just got a 1990 E30 318is. It's been lowered 60mm, which to my taste is far too much so I will be changing the springs so it's only lowered by 40mm. What I want to know is, will 17" Azev A's fit straight on or will it compromise the ride & handling too much ???Many thanks for any help! The Kevster.

HI GUYS thanks for all the replys i dont want to flare the arches but just roll them to fit borbet b rims on them. i think it will need rolling at the back as my car is low at the back but if its tomuch work and will ruin my car then i will just get the car a bit higher at the back...

hello kevster. generally the thing to do is start your own new thread asking questions rather than jumping onto someone elses with an unrelated topic ,but 17" azevs should go straight on :thumb:
