Not sure yet Tony. I would like to say that I haven't had time to work it out.tbmw wrote:excellent work dameon, looks awesome
what was the final time and cost totals?
Truth is that I am scared to
Without doing the math I think we are at around the £5k mark including buying the car. I really need to look into it and look at the cost of the bits I have borrowed from my other one, bits I have sold etc. Bear in mind I have fitted an E36 Z3 rack, full leather and A/C as well as doing the S50. When I will have a truer figure I will let you know.

cheers dude, i'll have a squint at my spare oneold_skool_2002 wrote:Gareth, If you take the pump apart a little bit you'll see how I did it! Just apply 12v to the three solenoids and to the pump motor in a sort of sequence. This just shakes it up and helps to bleed it.
Wasn't rocket science, I just wanted to make sure that I was not going to kill anyone with the information should it be posted in a tech article with pin numbers and a description of how to do it!

this is unbelievable... someone will have to do a complete guide on fitting this engine to an e30, as I'd be interested to sum up costs, parts and also wiring needs, chassis mods etc
brilliant work again!

It depends on what site you look at, but they are Zirconia sensors. Titania sensors tend to have coloured wires present. Also I think Titania sensors came about much later.Jhonno wrote:Will 3.2 Evo sensas wok with a 3.0?
Zirconia four wire sensors have 2 x white wires for the heater, (they are not sensitive to polarity) 1 x grey signal wire and 1 x black signal wire. From what I have read four wire Zirconia give the operate on the same values. The reason the part number is different is because of the plug and the cable length.
Mine are working just fine regardless
Thanks, but I couldn't have done it without the help of many of the members who pioneered the conversion. As far as cost is concerned, allow five grand and you shouldn't be disappointed. There is all the information you need on the Zone to do this conversion. I don't think a complete guide will be possible because the conversion can be carried out in so many different ways.Sy_325 wrote:this is unbelievable... someone will have to do a complete guide on fitting this engine to an e30, as I'd be interested to sum up costs, parts and also wiring needs, chassis mods etc

So without it and some home fabricating you can do it for £2996.42p!

Well hopefully Ive got the right sensors - mine have 2 white, 1 black, 1 grey. They are Bosch universal ones but have the correct part numbers for the 3.0ltr M3.old_skool_2002 wrote:It depends on what site you look at, but they are Zirconia sensors.Jhonno wrote:Will 3.2 Evo sensas wok with a 3.0?

Just a thought for all the S50B30 guys, I just bought some new spark plugs for mine. They are Bosch Y5DDC, from the dealer they are around £60 for a set even with my discount. There is a guy username "mickstaps" on ebay that sells genuine Bosch plugs for much less. I bought all six for £21 delivered and they came next day.
I have checked and they are genuine proper Bosch kit - sealed and new. Not for S50B32 though, different plug, although I'm sure he would sell them.
Hope that saves you some hard earned £Â£Ã‚£
