Just been picking through the engine loom on the 325i in preparation for the Emerald to go in.
So I took the Motronic ECU out and had a peek up where it used to be and there's another little black box above it.
Anyone know what it is?
Also, does anyone know how to connect the rev-counter to the Emerald?
Cheers!
Alex
Box o' tricks above the ECU & rev-counter?

How much was your emerald TB? What else did you need to get to go with it? Additional Sensors etc

Emerald TB?
The Emerald cost about Ԛ£750 including a CPS, TPS air temp sensors, crank trigger wheel, VAT and delivery I think.
It looks so easy to wire them up untill you come to figuring out how to keep alarms and fuel pumps working without having to rewire them. Spent ages last week wiring one up in my mates mi16-turbo 205.

Emerald Turbo-Brown, feeling lazy today
Thanks, thats actually pretty reasonable especially as it comes with all the 'extra' bits.
Might think about that instead of the Motronic, not too hot on car electrics though, 240V stuff in houses no problem but cars are a mystery

Take the feed wire from the Emerald and connect it to the black wire that goes to the clocks.Turbo-Brown wrote: Also, does anyone know how to connect the rev-counter to the Emerald?

So the Emerald doesn't need the little convertor box they do for some cars?
Jolly good
