These wheels are stated as being "deep dish" yet they are only 7x15? anyone know if the ET13 offset really will fit the E30? I am questioning this guy cos he doesn't seem to know much. Any zoners got these wheels?

He seems like a bit of a plonker. why would you need to do arch work to fit them to a 325i when he also says they fit "straight on" every other e30??? 
and they arent particualrly cheap and look like they badly need a refurb

according to my tire calculator with ET13 they'd stick out an extra 11mm over the standard ET24.

Mmmmm. Works out at roughly £160. I'd say they are a tad overpriced for what they appear to be. 5th link down mate has the calculator, you'll need the tire size as you can't adjust the width of the rim but it sort of does it with tyre width.

et is measured in millimetres. Therefore, an et20 wheel would stand off the hub 5mm more than an et25 one, providing the rims are the same width.oze30 wrote:hey charl, can you work out what 17x8 et20 would be compared to stock et 24??

If you keep the same width wheel and change the et then the track will change.
If you change the width of wheel and want to keep the track width right you need to alter the et.

If you keep the same width wheel and change the et then the track will change.

Extra inch width will move the outside edge of the wheel 12.7mm further out from the hub face.
Reduction of et will increase that to 16.7mm.
Therefore the inside edge will be 12.7mm - 4mm = 8.7mm further in (ie towards the centre of the car).
Ideally 8" rims on an E30 should have roughly et11.
Wheel diameter has no bearing on the required et.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......
My mate had them on his, no worries at all. They are only like 7.5 or 8j aren't they?
Just clean out the inside corner where the arch lip goes inwards, with a wire brush/rag/your fingers, then warm up the lip with a heat gun, and gently hammer the lip upwards and outwards. Before it seals up against the outer vertical face of the arch, just jam some waxoyl in there and then hammer it flush. Job's a goodun.

i have them too - they don't need arch mods....

I'll agree with Geoffsco. Anything ya have in abundance in the uk we don't get here in OZ in anything like the quantity. Makes me wish i'd packed up crate loads of spares before i moved over !!! E30 rims aren't readily available at a sensible price. So peeps get what they can. Me i'll be coming back to the mother land or sourcing some parts and getting the olds to bring/ship em out !!!
