Really wasn't too hard to do. One could directly solder the wires to the board where the DB37 plug goes, but I instead opted for a vertical DB37 plug so that you can crack open the case and plug in the stim board for testing or code upgrades.
The car is an 85 325e but with a 2.7 stroker and an 89 325i engine harness.

Nice. I am doing something similar with mine, except I am bolting the standard MS box, to the Motronic base, with a short wiring loom to the Motronic socket. However, it's a bit of a tight fit, with a bit of an overhang, and I wish I had done it your way. I will next time though.

@ Stuart, you can swop the DB to the vertical one, the headers are the same dude
Re the motronic plug, I can source these now BTW, new and un-used.
I did this too a while back, but swopped back to the "stock" Ms case when I went wasted spark, although a second DB cnnection could be squeezed onto the back of the moronioc case

This is what I am working on. Very much work in progress.
There is an extra bit of metal in the back of the Motrinic base to support the MS, and an extra socket on the back for Wasted. May not look so neat, but when it's fitted to the car, the RS232 socket is nice and accessible.

Ms is easy Ed
Personally fitted 30+ setups without a hitch and sold a fair few turnkey setups, there are some traps you can fall into with it but they're easily avoided, biggest issue is the wiring, not because its hard, just important to do correctly.
