dave , it was brill mate, im well chuffed with em and D.I.Y RULES!!
lowcab, the hanbrake shoes were the worst bit actually, coz the garage who did them last welded the pegs on, so it took a little effort to get them off
in fact there were soo many things i found that really made my skin crawl
like pads that were broken in half, or inner pads that were soo worn it was just the backing that was doing the work. wear indicators wrapped around susp. struts

and so on ...
anyway, i learned a good few lessons today, one being good tools (of which i have none) make all the difference
and never to trust a garage ever..eeeeeverrr
