Hi chaps,

As a couple of people know, I bought a 325i Sport yesterday from a good bloke Dan (Dodd on here).

It's got a cracked head, and the arches are a bit (not too bad though!!) rusty....He needed to get rid of it cos it was being stored at a garage, so I got it for a bargain price including a nice CD Head Unit and decent back speakers.

It's a 1990, Diamond Black on G reg. It's done 130,000 miles with fBMWsh up to just over 100k. All the book set is there! It's tidy inside, needs a new base on the drivers seat, and the carpet is worn on the passenger side. Bar that it's tidy inside. Most of the tool kit is still there, as is the tray with the triangle which is still there!

It's a light grey recaro interior, with M-Tech II wheel, 13 button OBC, tweeter pods, and all the usual Sport extras.

When I first saw it, it looked tidy, needed a wash, but it looked straight.

I managed to limp it most of the way home, then my mate came and towed me the rest of the way (In a 1.1 Pug 106!!), because I didn't want to melt the engine.

I hoovered it out today, and gave it a wash. If I had more time I would have polished/gone to town on it, but I have to go back to Brighton to do work!

Here are a couple of pics of it:

After my exams, I intend to find a new engine/head to make it right. Also sort out the rust on the arches and touch up the couple of bits which need doing.

I really like the car though, as some people know I had a pretty much identical one a couple of years back! :)

Anyway....what do you reckon?

Cheers,

Dave.

EDIT: Would be more pics, but I'm on dial-up

Andrew,

It's round at my parents house now.

I really love it, and I dunno what to do. I'm gonna put a new engine in when my exams finish and speak to the bodyshop about the arches (which aren't actually too bad). I may attempt to have a go myself....Couple of other bits need tidying, like the drivers seat, but Gav has a spare in the same colour! (Well done Gavin :) ) Apart from that, it's sweet.
Very straight car, not dented, very much like my old one.

Do I sell the Civic and keep the Sport and the Touring? The touring is still going 3.5  :D

Oh well, I'll see how things pan out after I finish Uni.

Sent a text to the guy I bought it off saying thanks, and he said he's just glad it went to a good home....Which I think is true!! :D

Sorry to go on, but I'm really chuffed.

 :)

Can I be a Sport snob now too? :) Just kidding!

My Dad thought I was gonna bring home a rusty wreck when I told him the price...He was pleasantly suprised. He loved my old one, he'll love this one too once it's done! :)

Simon, I'm a busy man you....you know how it is.....Now, on with my dissertation! Cars are on hold for a month and a half now!

congrats dude!

Looks very nice in the pics. I do like black sports, they look well mean.

Even though I do make spiteful comments against sports I must say I rather jealous! Git!

Good luck with doing it up, stick a 3.2 in there or even an M5 engine. I know where there is a cheap donor M5 3.6 if your interested.
