looking good fella any chance you could give me abit more info on how you moved the servo/master cylinder? i need to do this for my S/c conversion.
also is there enough room between the servo and you plenum for when the engine rocks about????
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

Appletree...
the plenum is actually isolated from the inlet trumpets, it's only connected to the engine by those rubber boots. there's a little room to spare anyway, i'm not expecting major vibration issues.
with ref to the servo, most of it should be in this thread with pics mate
if you remove the glovebox what i have done should be fairly clear. although i'm not sure if you could do this without fitting the smaller diameter Golf servo as i have... if this not clear i'll help in any way i can

older version? oh, you mean the working version
it has to run a few months behind to give me a chance to sort out all the problems

i think that red car probably does have the hydraulic servo, but as it's only half finished in that pic some of the fluid lines etc are not installed.
it also looks a lot lot nicer than my shed under the bonnet

what management are you using? Would you be able to run a normal ecu when not force inducting it?

I dont think they have as the associated plumbing/expansion tanks and the master cylinder would be much further up towards the front of the car.

it's alive
first turn of the key too, straight to life. video'd it, but my camera didn't work properly
idles nice and flat and revs nicely, but not sensible to drive it today, need to tidy the wiring and make sure a few bits are tightened up properly lol.

Wheres the AFM??
In the bin where it belongs
no point in spending time and money on an ITB setup to make the whole lot breath through a restrictive AFM

Try a simple spring balane put a stack of2p's or something on top of the springs and measure the compresion, at least you can grade them from hard to soft then

Toby i read in the last issue of PPC that the guy with the blown Minor had some issues with the rearmost cylinder running lean due to the shape of the manifold (the same volume for all cylinders) do you think you will have this problem with the intake on the end of the plenum chamber , reason i ask is i need to start making a manifold for the M50 and i want to make sure i get it right first time
