Has anyone on here fitted some powerflex subframe bushes? And what improvments if any did they get from this. Was thinking about changing them now as none of my rear brake lines are connected and i got to take the diff off and other bits back there anyway. Only thing is I don't have a press, will i need one to fit the powerflex bushes? Im sure i can get the old ones out with some burning cutting etc.etc.

Thanks

You wont need a press to fit them they just push in.

I put them on my car when the standard ones were shot. As you know they cost a good bit more than standard but won't need doing again (which has gotta be a good thing :) )

Once you get the old ones out the Powerflex are easy to fit, I can't say I noticed a vast increase in road noise.

I've not noticed any negative effects either.

And I'm glad I won't have to get standard ones out again! :D

the worst part of the job is getting the 2 x 6mm hex nuts out of the brackets on the sills. they're always rusted to f*ck and just totally sh!t

getting the bush rod out of the chassis can be a pig, but theres a knack to it!!

Yeah that would be helpful if you have any little tricks that make this easier? Haynes manual probably just says, undo bolts, take out bushes, replace bushes bolt back up

Defo looking to get under the car this weekend and have a go at fitting some.

once you've got the plates off the car, and the bolt from the middle, just put a large extension bar through the bush, and wiggle the hell out of it!!
