Hey guys and girls.
Discovered this morning the passenger seat was pretty damp, with some "Rain drop" splodges on it. Cars a 1991 2dr, with manual sunroof. Cant see how water cud be getting in. Also the sunroof "jumps up" when you close one of the doors! Any ideas?
Many Thanks for help in advance

The jump from the sunroof panel is a common trait with E30's.

Believe it or not the sunroof seal is designed to let in water - the water then travels along the sunroof rails and eventually into drain-off pipe work which is attached at all 4 corners of the sunroof mechs and exits under the car.

If one of these pipes is blocked it causes a build up of water which eventually leaks into the cabin - as well as rusting the hell out of the under side of the roof panel.

Your gonna get a bit wet doing it but, get a jet wash as close to the pipes and fire away - not for to long though or try the old wire pushing job on them.

Neil.
