Hi all.
I have a problem with the on board computer on my '92 325i convertible, on everything but the time and date screen I keep getting 'PPPP' on the display. In the owners hand book it just say's to refer to BMW. I had the same problem on my E34 530i but I can't remember how I fixed it. Anyone out there got any idea or know how to reset it?

I think if you disconnect, then reconnect the OBC with the ignition on, it can clear the PPPP fault code.

pull the power to the unit then plug it back in with the ignition on and it clears the problem .

u need to remove the heater panel and headunit and undo the 4 obc screws from the back. theres a useful obc guide in the articles section which will help u out i'm sure. my obc is playing up and being an ass but ive not long installed it, so i will wait till some more enthusiasm comes along before i have it all apart again! good luck mateyGreeny wrote:Now that my fingers are bleeding and I have scrapped knuckles anyone know how you get the OBC out of the dash board.

or...
you can remove the instrument cluster (8 screws?) and pull the yellow OBC loom connector out from the back centre (and reconnect it)
make sure the OBC fault has cleared before you put the cluster back
