Unless you have it at 4x4 height your rear arches will need pulling.

hmmm interesting
im getting 7.5x16 borbets today but am also after a pair of 9inch rears or maybe 8.5 either will do
but have also had new rear arches fitted recently so really dnt wanna start stretching arches etc
when you say pulling arches what exactly do you mean??
does this damage paint at all?? or can it be done without any damage??

I'm running 9X16 borbet A's on the rear of my iS, i'm using 215/45/16 tyres with a 40mm H&R cup kit and the inner lip has been fettled a little. Altho it is rubbing very occasionally, that is down to rear top mounts beenin shagged!! I shud be fittin e46 cab ones today.......i'll let you know how it goes

this may be true - but not for every offset - sure you might get 8.5 on with oem offset but anything down around 20mm or 15mm will rub ur archeskunjani wrote:phoned just matz, who build custom bbs for e30's and the guy told me that you can safly go to 8.5 on the rear for e30

i had et20 borbiett A's which were 7.5 and they rubbed when loaded down or giving it 50mph through twisty stuff.

Fronts are now 205/45-16 toyo's and the rears are 215/40-16. Ive had no rubbing issues with the front and they are ET20, Not totally sure but i think the rears are ET15. Now fitted new E46 cab rear top mounts and it only rubs over really bad bumps but even then its only just a touch, The tyre doesnt have any real damage at all...
i totally recomend the H&R cup kit, feels nice and solid but without being harsh or slamming over bumps, nicly controlled i would say.

Arches are standard apart from havin the lip inside "folded" out the way.
