dual 2" all the way back with magnaflow dual in dual out cat. I'll probably put in cutouts later just for fun but we'll see... exhaust rear section is a e30 m3 section from understeer.com

i'd be worried that those stones might slip out and you'd have a very lowered E30!!!!

I doubt the temp guage (or sensor) was wired up as it didnt move when the ignition was turned on.dan_emaps wrote:nice!! but your poor car was stone cold!

ya
cat's aren't too bad but the few extra horsies wouldn't hurt...
in terms of temp the car had been warmed up, the temp gauge doesn't work and i'm still trying to figure that out.
until then i'm running the heater full blast with my electric fan on over-ride with a switch.
THanks for the comments!

have you tried a M20 temperature sender? the M30 one won't work with the M30 loom in a E30. the connector is the same though so it's a 5 minute job to simply swap them over.devinwwu wrote:in terms of temp the car had been warmed up, the temp gauge doesn't work and i'm still trying to figure that out.

tried it and i actually have a full thread going in this forum about it too.
i do have one question though. I have a fuel cut issue. when just revving and such its fine but ocassionally when i try to floor it, the car will seem like it goes into fuel cut and the car hesitates real bad.
anyone else had this issue or have ideas????

the only similar thing i've had was due to duff rotor arm, cap and leads, well i replaced tham all at the same time and that cured it.

i didn't add any extra ones no. i put in the stromung rear section from the e30 m3 from understeer.com the whole system is dual 2".
I just replaced cap, rotor, plugs and i'm using the coil from my e34. I'm going to try the e30 coil tonight maybe.
Could this be fuel related??? rather than spark

I'm using a scorpion backbox on it's own on my 335i.
It is LOUD!
You wouldn't get on most track days with it!
I'm personally not liking the sound that much either, hasn't got the nice growly roar I was expecting. Just a load of noise!

filter is brand new, pump may be an issue, injectors have only been in for 5k mi. leads i'll have to check.
on a side note my fuel level gauge was at about 1/3 tank and i was on the freeway doing 60 and it all of a sudden started rising up to full. got to full tank then stayed there for a little bit, then dropped down slowly to half tank. by the time i got to work it was at 1/3 again???
any ideas

i had another thought. if you look in the 5th picture at the set of spark wires off the "dizzy" cap you can clearly see a sensor that goes around one of the leads. I am not worried about which one cause the old one is still there but it broke off.
first, what is this sensor for and
second, would it cause the engine to fuel cut or hesitate really bad on harder acceleration.
Thanks guys!!!
i plan to get it put on either way i just need to know what it was
