Just had some delivered and was assured they were from OE suppliers, but they have no BMW stamp on them and tbh look a bit cheap
Rest of the parts either came in BMW approved or Febi marked packaging, the bushes were just loose in a box
There is one marking that looks like a triangle with a hoop in it and a code that reads 202901
If someone could compare it to a gen one that would be a big help
Cheers
Matt

I got a cam cover gasket set from a motor parts store, about Ԛ£5 cheaper than the dealers and all the gaskets had the BMW logo stamped on them. They wernt in BMW packaging though.
A few years ago I got some E36 rear beam bushes from Euro that had the stamp on them, but now they have the triangle as mentioned

So they still wont be approved.

The gaskets wont be approved? Maybe not but at the end of the day a BMW stamp is a BMW stamp

bmw don't make their own bushes (afaik), they get them from febi/bilsten. often febi/bilsten parts from gsf come in bmw boxes with bmw part numbers on.
why the snobbery? gsf can generally supply parts direct from the oem manufacturer for less than if bmw make their mark-up on it too. they usually have a note on the system stating if the bits are real oem or pattern and the quality of the parts if they are patterns.
they're Ԛ£8.95 from gsf but would need a call to check the manufacturer.

Not because it didnt come from the dealer but more importantly because you didnt pay enough for it

I dont see the point in fitting rubber bushes they dont last long and are a pain to replace. poly ones are easy to fit and last longer and if they ever do need replacing they will come back out easy.

Here you go mate ....
Nice one G, appreciated
As easy as the poly-bush route would be, i'll give the standard bushes a try first. Im making the removal/fitting tool to suit so i'll design it to allow the bushes to be removed with the rear beam in situ, should i need to do it again.

to be fair, the beam bushes do last hundreds of thousands of miles. i have no long term idea on the life of poly bushes though most are nowhere near this milage.
that said, i'm replacing mine for poly as i'd thather have tighter handling!

The 323 I have has done 75k and needs new bushes and when I worked for BMW 2 year old cars needed the bushes replaced. Poly ones will out last the rubber ones.
