hi lads, i'm in a bit of a pickle.
ok, i have a non-starting 316i. i'm at work and the handbook is at home. so i don't know which relay is for the fuel pump?
and can i interchange it with one of less importance if it turns out to be the relay, just to get me home?
i have eliminated everything i think, except the actual pump or this relay.
Sound!
which relay is for the fuel pump?

Relay is an orange one (probably) under the wiring cover at the rear of the engine bay. Exactly the same as most of the relays in the fusebox.
Alternatively, pull out the relay and short together pins 30 and 87 of its socket with a bit of wire, but don't forget to remove it later.
