Is there any common faults on the steering.
Lately my sport feels quite unsafe at 80mph +
There is no real feel and its like you are not in control.
Seems to wander slightly sometimes as well.
i changed the rubber uj on the steering shaft and have jacked the front up and to see if anything obvious is loose or worn but i see nothing.
Any suggestions guys ?

drop links are short bars 4-5" approx that connect to the front wish bones to the anti roll bar on each end, about 10 quid from GFS easy job

Number one rule when doing any fault finding - check through the last work that was carried out.

Could be many things, but the last one I did about a month ago was a worn rack.gilb wrote:mine aint feelin to good either got any idea what a knockin noise comeing from the stearing wheel could be when driveing over a bumpy road?

Won't be due to lack of power steering fluid. More likely because of it. It washes the grease out of the rack, especially the inner ball joints.

Check the tracking on this car. Doesn't take much of a knock on a front wheel to put it out enough to make it feel unstable.
