i have team dynamics Osaka wheels with a 35 or 38 offset, but luckily they make 10mm spacers which fit straight onto the hub with out the need for spigots

ps. i needed longer bolts

i have converted to studs on my car, i have 17" wheels with an ET of 40 ! ! ! !

to combat the high et i have 16mm spacers that get the wheel sitting proper !

bout 20-25mm is the right offset. You can fit them on without but you'd probably end up having the wheels tucked too far back.

My latest wheels have an et35 and are 9" wide. The rears JUST fit on the inside but the fronts dont clear the calipers so I need spacers for them.

that's consistent then - they all end up being around 24 (after correction with spacers); that'll be for 7 inch or 7.5 inch width wheels

your 9 inch wheels StevieC- what the offset should be needs more maths than my brain can cope with

Hartge used et20 for their 7.5J wheels too (16" but that ain't really the point here!)... Mine'd rub on the arches (on 205s) if the offset was any lower I think! :thumb:

Ok, they did on the split rim versions though, so I guess they figured it was ok! :D

and we are only talking about 5mm here!

it's lowering AND offset AND tyre width that CAN cause a problem :D
