Anyone know if a set of rear heads (with brackets) from a 2 or 4 door will fit a touring? Bit concerned about the 60/40 rear fold, and if there is sufficient space (width) in the 40% to take the bracket. Must be possible since tourings can have rear heads - but is it a different mounting bracket?

Any advice welcome!

From what i know of tourings the headrests & fixing brackets are both the same as the front seats.

I thought that all Tourings already had the brackets in the seat backs, they just need a hole making in the top to fit the headrests themselves through...

Could be wrong though.

yeah, teh touring has the brackets already in the rear seats. you'll need the matchin headrests from some front seats and the clips etc too.

i've just done it... seems i'm not alone: http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... 5377#45377

Themetal part of the brackets is already on the touring rear seats. You still need the plastis liner, spring clips and grommets from a scrap front seat.

yep just done this tonight, the round metal bracket is made in the frame of the seat of the touring, you need the plastic bits from the front seats of a car which then fit into the metal frame, i will along with sir B be doing an article on this soon with pics

Thanks everyone for the replies - a simple point, but incase anyone else is watching this thread, the front and rear heads are the same, they can be interchanged.

Front what I've read above it looks like the tourings have it easy, a set of fronts plus the tubes/spring clips/inner and outer grommets and you are sorted.

Brackets from a stealer are only about Ԛ£18 for the non-load luggers.
