Id do the rear topmounts-fairly common failure, and I hear that someone has written a guide for it...FBF wrote:putting in new springs soon. is there anything else i should change while its all apart?

Stockist for what? Springs?
& blimey - twas the best part of a year ago wasn't it!
Need to check my GSF "uprated" topmounts at the weekend - I've a feeling they're going again. Will definately go with the e46 ones this time (if I can get hold of some!).
Rear topmounts aren't really essential to do at the same time as the rest of it btw - you can do em on their own. Probably will need doing though, so it's still good advice!

Erm... Ԛ£7 ish from ECP / GSF or slightly more for E46 cab ones (better design) from the dealer!
Can't see how you could ever spend Ԛ£75 tbh...

Some decent ARB's eg the H+R ones from the zone shop will transform the car. The best mod in my experience.

If you cant afford all new roll bars just change the links themselves, about 9 quid a pop but will actually make sure your roll bars are doing what they are suppose to do.
Bushes are probably the most important things to check for; control arm diff and subframe ones and roll bar ones especailly

Im putting these on mine tomorow

I had the arms and bush carriers powder coated (because im too lazy to paint them)
and I pressed the new ball joints and M3 eccentric bushes in today
Hopefully it will stiffen things up plenty
