They've admitted liability and are going to pick up the cost for repair. I'm absolutely livid. This is a reputable main dealer and it's something you wouldn't expect to happen. It's going in next week for repair. I told them if the repair is not up to standard they'll be doing it again. Simple as that. I'm Pissed off

Sorry to hear it, but shit happens, i doubt the person who did it, did it deliberately, could have happened anywhere.. N if it had of been a sidestreet you would be forking out for the repair yourself
They have done the right thing, told you about it and are fixing it for you

depends, not all dealer body shops are great, ours is very gask, i recall gazza325cab saying the same thing about his dealers shop having 3 or 4 attempts to get a half decent colour match on his missus's cab and still couldn't get it any where near acceptable, however, this guys may be great as they tend to stick to a one very near by for conveniance, if the one near the garage is very good then he has nowt to worry about

I appreciate that they've come clean about it. The service manager called me later to explain the scratch. He said it might not need a respray and be repaired by a 'smart repair'. What concerned me was he said that is was fairly deep. Now I'm not a body shop expert but to me a 'fairly deep scratch' means a respray does it not??
