It was suppose to be so eaaaaaaaasy :?

Picked up a spare 325i TB to swap mine with, i have messed with mine so much the base settings must be way off and i figured it would be a good way to start my fault finding
Its a slightly different type TB with single servo feed, but otherwise its the same.

Swapped it over now the car wont idle unless you hold the revs at around 1000rpm. Drives fine but pull up to a juntion etc and it dies. Seems the ICV is not getting the correct voltage from the ECU, according to haynes it should be 10v on each side, i get 9 and 4 :? could this be the fault?

Doing me head in

sorry, it's amatuer night when i get under the bonnet and even moreso if there are electrics involved... but have you checked the Throttle Position Sensor on the bottom of the throttle body makes a "click" when the throttle is opened just a tiny amount and I mean tiny.

This is whats bugging me, the TPS is set and is giving correct meter readings

Im now convinced its the ICV, or what the ECU is telling it what to do, managed to get it to run a a bit longer at idle but still now if i kill the revs and it either stalls or dips to about 400rpm, bounces to around 6 and settles at 500rpm.

So much for a productive day off :(
