StevusTiggus; how on earth are you running a 4.1 318i diff with an M50 manual box with it's 1:1 top gear? 70 mph would be about 4000 rpm.
For one, My car came with a 4.27 diff which I sold! Look at my feedback!

Two, When did I say I was running a 4.1 diff?

Idiot!

I'm running a 1.6 diff!!

It's really low geared so acceleration is awesome! Just a shame about the 125mph top speed!

I think I'll be looking for a new diff soon though... LSD? Yes please!

Then you might just be stuck somewhere.

Make sure you have some sort of recovery service.

Get a 3.91 LSD and have some real fun!

I had a 318ti small case on my 320i touring for a while, it then went on Andy (demlots) car with a fair bit of HP and lasted a fair few miles, before it was changed for an LSD. Still no whines!

Depends how good you are with your left hand.

It won't make a massive difference unless the ratio is changed significantly.

The 2.0L diff is 4:10 ratio, same as the 1.8 diff. That's why he said!!

Get your fact's straight before you open your gob!
