what one of you boys wants to do is this. get a tiny turbo of a van, for instance Oguz3301 (Oz) astra van, and use that to spool up a holset. bye bye lag!

Cossie turbo is fine up to around 320 bhp on the 325, Its what I have although mines slightly modded with a bigger A/R turbine housing and a back cut on the turbine blades
zero lag, lots of midrange, perfect imho, unless you want a 4K onwards monster, ideal for the 1st FI experience

Well the americans use the 324td manifold, which has exactly the same ports onto the cylinder head, but has the t3 flange instead of the 3 bolt one seen on UK 325td/525td manifolds. If you can your hands on a 2.4 manifold then that one is probably easier to fit a larger turbo on.
Problems: spark plug access is zero
A large turbo with a big compressor housing "may" foul the rocker cover (you can lift the turbo up with a flange piece to help this though.
Trying to source one for reasonable money is nigh on impossible. You need to find one in the netherlands or germany that isn't on ebay because i'm sure the americans scower ebay.de for the exact same thing.
Having seen Ant's BBR(?) manifold in real life, it shows what a nice bit of kit it is. It makes everything tidier, spark plug access is better than factory i think and it just bolts on

James that is a t3 one, must have come off a 324td, you are a lucky man. You can enlarge that EGR flange too and make it suitable for an external wastegate.
