does anyone know how much extra width the M3 arches will handle?

once spaced to clear my calipers, they sit about 1.5" - 2" clear of the front arch (propped up on a jack for a best guess). is this likely to fit under M3 arches if i build a M touring?

Looks the NUTS, but you would need to sleep with a bodywork specialist to get those rears done!!

Sorry, but ihmo that bbs kit looks nasty.
M3 arches would look pretty sweet on a mint touring.

I have that set-up on my E30, 17x8 ET05. A bit different, but it sticks out the same. At the rear it fits with rolled fenders. At the front it clears the fenders if you don't lower it more than 4cm. You should get stiff enough suspension or it might still rub. The rim almost hits the fender in the corners with stock suspension.
I'm also looking in getting the M3 panels fitted, but I don't think they are that much wider. Maybe 10-15mm. The rims don't clear the suspension very well since I have Intrax coil-overs F&R so I'm going for 15-25mm spacers. Now I have to figure out what I need to do to the body. I'm picking up GRP M3 panels this sunday so then I'll see howmuch wider they really are.

m3 rear arches will clear 9" rims easily with the corrct offset
i run 10x17's et15 and they only need a slight roll afer suspensin was lowered

Zender made a 2 door conversion for the touring in the eighties, didn't really take off at the time though.Jos wrote:Yeah but only 4 ever made lol...and that white bbs kitted one is one of them.gareth wrote:love it! perfect in 2 door though.........

i am running a 9.5*16 et 13 on the back and 9 et12 on the front and it just goes with plenty of front camber, i have adjustable trailing arms on the back so can pull the rear wheels in

Have you considered the body kit off a e30 325ix as this has wider arches as part of the kit?

i'm not a fan of the ix kit as imo it looks very cheap and stuck on. i assume it won't actually give more wheel clearance to the original arch underneath either.
