hi all
after reading a couple of other posts about 073 chips in earlier 325is', i've heard that they can be modified to suit a 28 pin chip and i have 2 questions.

1) would anybody be able to tell me how to modify the board myself (it would cost to much to send the whole computer to the UK as i live in australia) and

2) what chip number would be suited to this modified board

thanks

the mods required are simple enough dude

open the ECU

seperate the upper PCB from the lower board

add 4 extra pins to the upper board, the holes are already there

remove existing 24 pin eprom, replace with new 28 pin unit and away yu go

the 073 ECU's use a diff motroinc version to the later, any chip must be specific to the 073

I've sent a few to AUS and NZ over the years, always well recieved.

for the wild chips in the e30 zone store, will they work with my now modified ecu? and also is the only way to pay for them using the gift card things? (i couldnt see any other payment type)
