I would like to put an OBC into my 316i and was wondering what is needed to be done or what can be done to do this as I have located an OBC in a crashed 325i. ( This OBC in the one near the sunroof.)

Any help gratefully appreciated,
Cheers Daniel.

Forget about it.

it's a major rewireing process which runs through the length of the car, and IMO not worth the hastle of fitting it.

BTW its called a "Check Control Panel"

Daniel , the one you're referring to is will be quite diffrcult to retro fit unless the wiring loom has been fitted and its just then a matter of plug and play .Maybe someone else can give you better advice

Would it work if I spliced the wires and connected them to thier relevant check wires?

the wires for the check control are extra and also instead of the existing wires.

The coolant level and oil level sensors could be wired up without to much trouble, (assuming the engine has the sensors), but the sensors and wiring for the lamp checks are not fitted, and are part of the main body loom, as are the wires up to the roof for the panel.
