just put a viper chip in my 335 ecu and the rev limit increased from 6.2 to 6.5+
so i guess it's set by the fuel mapping chip.

i think i might do that because the notrous realy comes on form at about 5 ish, and then obviously the limiter kick's in not long after, so i would want a prity high limit

well iv got it set at the mo so when im full throttle it kick's in, and with noz you cant bring it in before 3k or it will detonate the engine, but when it come's in on full throttle @ around 3.5k it kicks in, but then it seems to have a second wind around 5k and thats when i can feel it the most

I was going to post you a link to a cool gearing calculator so you could have a play with it to work out what sort of ratios would be best for you but the link doesn't work !
Heres some of the figures i worked out for mine with it.It's copied from an email i sent.

I wouldn't put a 3.64 diff in a car that you have setup for all top end power, you'll be constantly dropping out of the power band, you'll be better off with a 3.91.
Don't run NOS for to long without the controller either, to I've seen the mess it can make of an engine (holes in pistons, melted valves)
And not alot of point making the rev limiter any higher that 6750 as the M20 won't be putting out any real power then, plus if you go up past 7krpm there is a good chance you'll spin it to bits if worked hard.

andy's 3.5 has plenty power right through and was bloody quick with a 3.25 diff, i don't think it's going to struggle to pull a 3.64
mine on the other hand has the same box but a 3.91 and feels undergeared, it will get to the limiter pretty quickly in top.
don't know about craigs though!
