cant belive how everyone was being nice about it!!!

ha ha no matter what he says you can't paint a car for $50 (£30) and all these people belive him that it turns out to be great!

gooner dont bother trying mate cos it won't come out like that, if it did all the bodyshops would be doing it that way and saving £Â£Ã‚£'s

I'm skeptical, having once used enamel, applied by brush, to repaint a Morris Minor (when I was young and silly): the enamel took an age to dry off by which time dust & flies, etc galore had landed in it, and brushmarks & runs were all to easy to achieve. The paint did have a good gloss and was pretty durable though. I've also tried using a HVLP sprayer (Apollo) to spray it on, which does achieve better results, though still very easy to get runs with slow-drying enamel - cellulose is way better in that respect. Fortunately however, my younger brother opened up a bodyshop and I no longer have to resort to my amateurish bodywork repairs :)

TBH you won't get a sprayed finish, you may get a pretty good finish with loads of flatting between coats.
Brilliant idea for a track car or a drift slag though, nice and cheap!

Ha ha, yeah right!!

All you really need is a tin of hammerite and a brush - just watch out for drips!!!!!

Hammered finish makes for an interesting paint job!!

Many a mini has been done like that!!
