Just found this on the notice board in the kitchen buried under mundane school letters,so I thought I should host it for some good old fasioned commentry
It was done a few months back on 210,000 ish miles.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

The man seem to think it was healthy too,I was pretty darned chuffed to,when I finally get around to sorting the AFM and TB (we'll be speaking soon Steve!) it should be even more healthy,just needs a little more fuel coming through after 4k.

Thats well impressive. Once fuel is sorted you'll find that it might make peak power slightly higher than 5400 rpm.
Just goes to show how good these engines are.........has it ever had a rebuild?

Thats the plan,once i get the fueling sorted,might not have to change gear quite so often when I'm towing things!
It hasn't technically needed a rebuild,but it did have a new head fitted by BMW at about 80k after the last owner drove through deep water and damaged it.

Yes mate,injectors,TB and the AFM.
he injectors i'll get sonicly cleaned whatever that is and Steve (325SME) is gonna help me do the other two.
Should have a bit more power higher up the range then.
