Just replacing my rear anti roll bar links, and have a couple of questions

First off:
There were no washer/pins holding on the old links
Parts 8 and 9 in pic here
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=33&fg=45

Should there have been or is the ETK wrong?
The old links obviously stayed on fine without for the last 2 years I've had the car, and there appear to be no holes for the pins in the new parts.

Secondly:
Trying to push the new link on the anti roll bar, but not having any luck.
I've warmed the inside rubber bushing in some hot water, and put a bit of grease on the bar, but so far not getting anywhere :(
Any tips?
Cheers,
Robin

big bowl of boiling water Robin has to be boiling! bit of washing up liquid is better as it dries off.

There isn't supposed to be a pin on the end either

it's a bit off a struggle but it will go, they nearly slid on for me last time i did some

Summon some extra strength!

My car didn't have the washer/pins holding on the old links.

I used silicone spray to loose up the bushes. If your struggling that much why don't you take the rollbar out then fit the links and then replace the rollbar. The roll bar comes out easy enough if you remove the drivers side coil spring then you can just slide the rollbar out.

Job done, cheers guys!

Had to push the other one on using a large socket against the link, the base of a hammer pushing against that through the spring and the force of 2 people.
The boiling water and fairly liquid helped

Guessing the pins are for the US version, or the ETK is plain wrong
Cheers,
Robin
