Can anybody help me with my question, what is the difference in power between a 2.0 and 2.5, not bhp as such but I mean in terms of if both cars were lined up at a set of lights and raced, would the 2.5 leave the other for dust or is it evenly matched ? I have been offered a 320i 2 door with m-tec kit and bits an bobs for Ԛ£400 by an old lady near where I live you see and I was thinking of getting rid of me 325 tourer, my tourer is clean but this car is minty mint she just wants rid of it.

So I couldn't perform any deathdefying overtaking manouveres then no ? Think an engine transplant is in order then ! Or maybe just full powerflow exhaust, K&N, zone chip, my 325 throttle body and anything else the zone shop sells !

320i are not slow, just slower. K&N air filter, 325i throttle body & chipped ecu will make it a very rewarding drive indeed. Quick and cheap to do, and improves the mpg too.

Get a chip off Ant from the Zone shop, its as good as anything out there.

Bear in mind your now talking about spending a fair bit of Ԛ£ on a 320. Ive just sold mine to get a 325 sport or 2.7conversion. Sometimes its actually the cheaper way to performance. Depends on your age/insurence though

Firstly keep the touring. Buy the two door then sell it on.
Secondly I had a 320i touring before this and I swear it accelerated faster, seemed more urgent. They get slated but I can't see the problem.

I dont know what a 325's like never been in one, I've got a 320 se coupe and I'm happy with it, lovely little car for the money but as ever its personal choice. Seems as though your choosing between a car that dont go to bad and a car thats slower but as you said is a minty minter, good luck though whatever you do :thumb:

325i will take a 320i off the lights easy, not by LOADS though.

320i's just lack that urgency that the 325i pretty much has.
