Hey all, how will a 2.7 block crank and pistons perform with an 885 head? Will it be faster than a normal 325i engine?

how long is a piece of string??
there's so much more to building a 2.7 stroker, cam choice, management, exhaust etc etc.

if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

My car already has a 6 branch manifold, the problem i have is my 325 bottom end is gone, i just purchased a 2.7 complete engine and just want to make it match the performance of my 325. Will a straight bottom end swap match the performance?

Unless you want to get custom pistons made, everything is in the Wiki page I posted above.Watthefucklike wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 7:34 pmWill a straight bottom end swap match the performance?

No idea, not really interested in 0-60 times, most combinations will be shown the door by a Golf Diesel anyway.
Basic eta combinations not known to light any fires. Properly-built 2.9 stroker maybe ........ but plenty $$$
That is why so many swap to M5x
