I am in the process of removing my carpet, i have taken interior seats front and rear compleatly out now.
Next as far as i know i need to remove my centre console, and accelerator pedal.
Can anyone tell me where the fixings for the centre console are and how to remove accelerator with out breaking the fixing?
Also anyone with any diagrams or pics or just general advise with this would be most welcome.
cheers

centre console rear piece has a ten mm plastic nut under the rear ashtray

and the front part remove gear gaitor and theres a 10 plasi nut again near the gearstick apperture
there is also a plasi screw in drivers footwell next to clutch pedal
once them 3 are out just pull gently and slip console over the gearstick

not sure bout acc pedal sorry

Accelerator pedal is easy, remove the circlip at the top, pull it sideways of the linkage rod and pull it out of the floor!
It will be tight but force it to either side and it will come out.
If it breaks i got one here you can have but they are only cheap to buy new.

Centre console.
10mm nut under rear ashtray, another under the gear gaitor.
Back part will just lift out over the handbrake.Front part, there is a little bolt/screw(8mm i think)hidden. It is under the heater control part of the dash,a bit fiddly but not to bad.
Also down the sides of the console towards the front of the car, there should be two plastic twist screw things, remove these and i think thats it!

Accelerator pedal is not meant to be reuseable once its been removed, but in practice they usually come out OK. Only ever broke one that I can remember.
The carpet will be very tight under the heater, and its easiest if you cut around this piece with a sharp craft knife, leaving the piece under the heater in place. The cut will be completely covered by the front console.
MIND THE WIRES UNDER THE CARPET.
