Washer: purple/black and brown/black

Foglights: LH: yellow/brown and brown, RH: yellow/purple and brown.

Horns: brown/yellow and brown.

Reverse lights might well be switch (it's a very poor internal design), but check fuse 10 first.

Few electric issues sorted out .

New reverse switch got the reverse lights working
Temp sensor plug had a broken wire so swapped the plug and now have a working temp gauge
Headlights,foglights and washer bottle all now working just need to buy a horn
Bought an electric aerial loom so the sounds are now sorted

Gave the calipers a lick of paint

And picked this wee bargain up last night

Still a few odd jobs to do here and there.

It popped up on Facebook last night for under £50 so had to buy it.I have had 2 of these in my life and wasn't looking for one both times.
The first one I got was at an auto fair and I got that one for a fiver .
See them on ebay from time to time for anything between 120-230.

Steering wheel was looking a wee bit brown/worn in place .£10 kit off ebay made it look a lot better.

Alright Jake, did you buy the leather on the bay? I’ve been thinking about it but not sure in the size. Most say not for sport wheel.

It was just a repair kit Peter. It comes as three bottles , cleaner /colour/top coat and a couple of sponges .

Not much of an update . Pre mot wash i noticed the rear brakes are binding and will need to get it sorted out before it goes.Fitting another exhaust system as the old one was teabagged and i will need to sort that out to get it sitting right at the rear valance but it's on and not blowing.

Don't think i will do another one now with the way the prices are going , so plan is to get the two i have on the road and gradually improve then when funds allow . Already putting together parts for an m52 swap into one.

Work got in the way of getting this mot'ed before the winter . I did break my e38 728i so thought why not stick the engine in the e30 while the weather is crap.
Engine is about ready to go in after doing the water pump etc and getting the Danthe loom fitted .

I bought the loom off another member that was breaking his m52b28 e30 which was fitted to an e36 m52 .I might be missing something or e38 m52 might be different but i can't see a plug on the loom to connect the coil packs?Also the plug on the oil level sensor doesn't fit .
Anyone had the same issue?


Another think is are the e36 lambda sensors shorter? using the ones from the e38 the wires are tight against the block when i bolted on the rear manifold.

Don't forget that titania and zirconium dioxide lambda sensors were both used with the M5x engines.
Which depends on ECU.

The e38 ecu was a ms 41.0 and i have bought another ms41.0 with ews delete and raised limiter.
I have also keep the original key ,barrel ring and ews unit/plug just incase .

Those are the correct lambdas, the rear one is close to the block because the manifold has to be moved away from the steering linkage, the gap can be made smaller if you tighten the bottom row of manifold nuts first, and alternatively bigger if you tighten the top row of nuts first, its always best to use new gaskets

m20 is out and m52 kinda ready to go in tomorrow.

Had fun yesterday getting the m52 in and on its mounts not an easy task on your own .
