One of Player6's mates does this for a living. I'm off to see him on Saturday or Sunday to see what he can do for the E30 engine. Failing that Mirage is the place to go, but they are expensive

Hi lads,
An easy way to do it is by using Autoglym Machine & Engine Cleanre followed by Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care: -
First cover all critical elctrical bits with double thickness clingfilm
then apply Machin cleaner liberally
Use a radiator brush to gently agitate dirt & grime
then gently hose down
Repeat if necessary
Then spray on Vinyl & Rubber cleaner (DO NOT agitate)
Close bonnet and let the V & R dry
Open bonnet and remove clingfilm
Close bonnet job done
In real time it only takes about 15 to 20 mins and that's if you're a slacker eh
The engine bay WILL look like new again
Bryan
PS both of the above are bio-degradeable!
