Cheers Mart.

Judging by the pictures, yes. They have the screws on the back to rotate the units between lhd and rhd although the ad' does state left hand drive only :?

Smileys can be adjusted I believe between RHD and RHD as my son fitted a set to his 87 car before he exported it to Germany as it needed to pass the TUV test to get its classic car status.

Whether the lights in the link switch or not, and if the pictures are accurate then they do, I wouldn't touch them having seen Magpie's pictures.

Yes, they can be although the ads say LHD, I fitted them to my 1987. A bit of a fiddle as you have to loosen the three screws on each one quite a way, but you get a much better result than lens adaptors.

The lights in the link are Depo, which while not in the same league as Bosch or Hella are a fairly well used aftermarket option. Magpie's lights don't show any manufacturer's mark on them that I can see so maybe they're a crappy copy of a copy.

I'm just a bit tempted as the Baur does not do a great deal of miles and with a touch of sealant to make sure , then it could be viable.
I don't want her to be a concours but maybe this may help her look a bit fresher?

I fitted a Depo set as a stop gap as my originals were so shot - adjustable left and right, great for me in Germany for a while with UK mot - easy switch, no issues at all - certainly not leaked or corroded, so for the money they ain't bad.

Been on the car for 18 months - and certainly look a shed load better than the old rotten crap I took out.

In what way? A new set of adjusters, and a second hand set of E30 lights is normally indistinguishable from new.
Although RH drive E30 lights can be adjusted to give a perfect LH drive suitable mirror beam pattern (unlike my E39!), Factory LH drive E30s use headlamps with different part numbers.

same type of light from china no doubt with unbranded lenses unlike the bosch or hella lenses BMW supply on oem lights , i'd rather buy a set of good clear glass originals and free up the adjusters and change any perished plastic adjuster grommets , a wire wheel on a drill, pair of pliers and mole grips to spin the plasic nut up and down with plenty wd40 and they are brand new again .

The lens' were all cracked, stone chipped and milky, low light output, damaged surrounds - the cheepy deepies look crisp - and whats more I can see where I'm going - perfect for now until I find a replacement set in decent shape, which most are not.

Finding a first class set nowadays will be expensive and Depo have a decent name so lets see what Santa may bring.
