wobble coming thru steering wheel at 55mph. 1.6 e30 auto 89

Hi All got a problem car steering wheel wobbles quite badly at 55- 60 mph, seems to nearly go at 70-75. anyone got any ideas.
order of things to check. have had the newish tyres balance.

I have heard that wheel wobble at around 50/60 can be caused by the disks being slightly warped and that can be difficult to fix even in balancing the wheels. I may be wrong but hopefully that helps

yes thanks , could be . I can feel very slight movement when wheel off the ground with hands at 9 and 3 o'clock
I have got dial gauge, so i,ll check discs,

I think that for the discs to be causing a noticeable wobble at that speed, the calipers would have to be binding and probably wear in the ball joints too.

I would be checking all the perishable suspension components first, calipers second, discs third.
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
