Lock part seemingly not part of the lock cyl repair kit

I've just order a lock cylinder repair kit to recode my driver's door lock to the same as the others in my car.
My mechanic has told me it would be prudent to also get the 'latch', in other words the part in the picture -link below- that is in the bottom right hand corner of the image:

I'm not sure this is included in the kit I've just ordered from Cotswold (P/N 51219061344). It isn't pictured on the realoem image either...

Where can I get one?

My car has central locking if that makes any difference..

I guess you have a Convertible? if so the end bit operates the deadlock, they break easily, the down side is that they are "handed" so all the Euro and American sourced items are for a LHD vehicles, whilst many of the parts are universal, you will be able to do a re code, some are not. I've tried for years to find a RHD repair kit without any luck.

Aha - it's the deadlock! So this is the supplemental latch when you turn the key all the way to the horizontal? Mine's a Baur convertible so standard coupe equipment and yes it is the driver's side for a RHD car.
The repair kit from Cotswold was £17. The ebay one is £50, presumably because it includes the latch?

Yes that's right, it's a real pain, if the end two pieces which are cast ally or something brake or become really worn it's curtains and you have to use a saloon type lock with no Dead position, crap if the roof is off on a sunny day, anyone can lean in and open the vehicle....

However, if you parts are OK, then you can at least do the re code - I did the drivers door and the glove box and the boot - all different - my cabby is a mongrel indeed!

Interesting but I'm flummoxed! Is the part I'm after what's referred to as the 'armature' in the Wiki link above and does the lock cylinder rebuild kit include this?

The part number in the wiki link I gave above includes the arm.

The link in your initial post is to a repair kit which will be the one as supplied by Cotswold. I fitted one last Autumn, you need to be methodical and careful, but the end result is very satisfying.

I'm confused also - link at the top of the thread is for a LHD car - surely, if you use it, the end deadlock arm will point the wrong way as it is handed - is it this part you need ??

Just a heads-up to anyone still wondering, the deadlock is included in the repair kit. Confusingly, the schematic on realoem doesnt show it in their picture. All good!
