Wheel arch liner out, one screw to bracket in wheel arch, one bolt to rectangular bracket on floor pan, hose clip on short hose to tank, then manoeuvre the filler pipe down. Remove small hoses on the vent pipe near the top of the filler and it's out.
Remove the filler hose from the tank, make sure the paint is good on and around the stub pipe, apply Waxoil and refit pipe, ensuring that the hose clip is as close to the tank* as possible.
*If the clip isn't tight against the tank, a small triangular void will be formed between the tank, hose and stub, which will be permanently damp, causing the rust which is the semise of many E30 tanks.
