Had my first MOT today after my mini restoration car passed with only 2 advisories which was good, however the tester pointed out my rear lights could have goldfish in them!!!
I presume the seal is gone but I have no water in the boot but I.m parked rear end down on the drive!!! So maybe just lucky ... I had the lights off recently and the seals looked pretty good maybe they just need tightening ?? Can I get the seals at the dealer!!!
Cheers

My lights are slightly cracked so if seals are expensive I don't want to put new seals on. ..
I presume all e30 lights are interchangeable? Or are touring and cabriolet different.

Does anyone know if all e30 rear lights are the same? Or are touring and cabriolet different?
Any info would be great. ...

Touring and cabriolet are the same. The only difference is between facelift and pre-facelift.

There is the " cheaper possible fix of clean up seal then rub general purpose grease into the seal"

Is it a lot of water or a small amount?

What type is it... Saloon? touring? Got a sunroof? Etc

Water was only in the orange indicator section which is cracked both sides....think this is the cause as I checked the seals before I refitted them...
New lights for me I think! !!
