Thanks, not much to be honest, just.....

1. Manual conversion (keeping old auto stuff so i can change back if i ever want to)
2. Fit larger calipers and vented discs up front
3. Replace the wheels
4. Fit orange indicators
5. Full service inc. new fuel and brake hoses. (for peace of mind)
6. A few little jobs here and there.
7. Some retro ICE
8. Tech 1 spoiler and SE skirts
9. One rust repair

That's about it

Cheers

Hi, Thanks !

I love the colour also.

So, the plans are to take the car off the road next week. There are a few road tar splats which need clay baring off and i'll then machine polish and wax it.

Also next week, i've got a little list of stuff to crack through whilst doing the manual conversion.

Clean and copper grease all earth points
Lubricate heater fan (noisey)
clean up contacts in dizzy cap,
clean up contact in rotor arm,
oil filter,
air filter,
fit new earth strap 2 for eng, one for battery,
replace alternator voltage regulator, clean ICV
check all vac hoses and water hoses
fit new plugs
cam belt kit
inspect eng mounts and GB mounts.
Fit spigot bearing,
TPS clean and TB clean.
new fuel filter
replace fuel hoses.
replace viscous fan,
replace washer bottle,
fit battery +ve terminal guard
fit new bonnet insulation,
check right fuse ratings, ensure sufficient spares
refurb grilles and scuttle vents,
fit orange indicators,
fit sub and amp, front speakers,
fit fire extinguisher,
cut spare key,
new mats,
fit new prop guiob,
replace gb seals,
new guibo nuts and bolts (6).
new gear Selector bush.
replace passenger window switch.
top up PS fluid
change GB oil
clean up engine bay
re-tape up loom where some tape has come off
blast and powder coat inlet (need gaskets), cam cover(new gasket), oil filter housing cap.
Refit standard springs and dampers
Fit vented discs and calipers up front, flush through brake fluid.

Keep me out of trouble for the week

Thanks mate, I enjoy yours also !

I'll get plenty of pics of the work next week.

It's not a bad car but i think the rear archs will need doing at some stage, nothing major but you know when they start to bubble on the inside lip. Better to get it done early whilst there is plenty of good metal to weld to......that'll be a job for next summer.

I want to get it tarted up, so it's safe and fun to drive first.

Cheers

Thanks pal! I'm after a similar project now as I've had enough of convertibles, on the hunt for a coupe!

Can't wait for the updates! Hope it goes well.

Really pleased with how the machine polish turned out. It did take a long while to get all the tar splats off though, probably would have been easier with a clay bar but I didn't have one so borrowed some blu tac off the kids.

Mega scrub, blu tac bar, machine cut back and 3 coats of polish.

Then finished off with the black bits using the gell stuff and the windows.

Really pleased with the paint, running your fingers over feels like glass.

Thanks mate :)

I got the V5 though. It's had 13 previous owners which I was quite surprised about. Normally a high owner car is not in good shape.

Anyway, I'm thinking there must be a previous owner on the zone

Anyone ????

Fine chariot.

Black wheels don't work though.
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Are you sure you connected the pipes the right way round?

Valves can be repaired, by the way.
